About Me
Stefanie Julissa Torres Ramirez, MD, is a board-certified physician in internal medicine, pulmonology, critical care medicine and sleep medicine. She is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians. Dr. Torres Ramirez joined Memorial Physician Group and Memorial Healthcare System as a critical care physician in 2016.
Previously, Dr. Torres Ramirez served as an assistant professor of medicine in the Department of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky. At the University of Kentucky, she was actively involved in the supervision and teaching of pulmonary fellows in the critical care setting, as well as in inpatient and outpatient pulmonary and sleep medicine rotations.
Dr. Torres Ramirez earned her medical degree in 2001 from Universidad Catolica de Santiago de Guayaquil, Ecuador. She also completed the William J. Harrington Medical Training Programs for Latin America in 2001, at the University of Miami through Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. Dr. Torres Ramirez finished her residency in internal medicine in 2007 at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where she also went on to complete both a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine in 2010 and a fellowship in sleep medicine in 2011.
