About Me
As a family medicine physician at Memorial Primary Care, I treat acute health concerns and provide preventive care. I help manage common conditions facing American adults today, like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes and their related complications. Additionally, I have extensive experience with chronic conditions such as asthma, COPD, chronic kidney disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, chronic pain, anxiety, depression, arthritis, eczema and migraines. I also provide care for common acute conditions like the flu, cold symptoms, strep throat, ear infections, allergies, urinary tract infections, sexually transmitted infections, skin rashes, bronchitis, pneumonia, sinus infections, stomach flu and vomiting.
My journey into medicine began with a fascination for people, human behavior and health. I studied psychology and neuroscience during my undergraduate years, and while volunteering as an EMT, I experienced primary care up close. It showed me the incredible opportunity to serve as a “home base” for patients of all ages and backgrounds. The chance to care for entire families felt particularly meaningful, and I knew this was the right path for me.
In my practice, I am guided by the core values of family medicine: compassionate, preventive and patient-centered care. I believe in nurturing the relationship and trust between doctor and patient, and I take a holistic approach, considering not just the illness but also the patient’s family, culture and broader life circumstances.
Building trust and mutual respect is key to providing care that truly makes a difference—for patients, their families and the community. I also believe that each patient has a unique story and part of my role is to listen to and learn from them. While I provide guidance and recommendations based on my knowledge and experience, my goal is always to ensure that patients feel comfortable and confident in their healthcare decisions.
Before joining Memorial, I had the privilege of caring for patients at UCONN Health and Trinity Health of New England, mentoring resident doctors as a core faculty member for UCONN Health Family Medicine Residency Program and mentoring future doctors as the director of the Family Medicine Inpatient Experience Sub-internship for UCONN School of Medicine.
