About Me

I am a surgical oncologist at Memorial Healthcare System. I specialize in treating upper gastrointestinal malignancies, hepatobiliary and pancreas malignancies, melanoma and cutaneous malignancies and sarcoma.

A personal experience inspired my journey into surgical oncology. When I was a child, my father suffered a stroke, and the lack of clear communication from healthcare providers left my family feeling anxious and uncertain. This experience deeply motivated me to pursue a career in medicine with a commitment to providing empathetic and transparent care to my patients and their families.

In my role as an oncologist, I find it incredibly rewarding to make a significant impact on my patients' lives. I am passionate about providing surgical solutions that enhance both outcomes and quality of life.

My approach to care is both patient-centered and compassionate. When meeting with me for the first time, patients and their families can expect a thorough and empathetic consultation. I prioritize clear communication and work collaboratively with patients to develop personalized treatment plans.

Alongside my clinical work, I am actively involved in clinical research with a particular focus on melanoma. I have been a T-32 Surgical Oncology Research Fellow at MD Anderson Cancer Center, where I contribute to advancing treatments and therapies, especially for those with advanced disease. I am also a member of the writing group for the American Board of Surgery’s initiative on Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs) in Surgical Oncology.
