About Me
As a hematologist-oncologist at Memorial Cancer Institute, I manage the care of patients with benign, hematologic disorders as well as malignant tumors.
I became interested in sciences and medicine at a young age and volunteered at a cancer institution in New York City during high school and college. That experience inspired and motivated me to pursue a career in cancer care. After earning my medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, I completed an internship, residency and fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York.
I have always considered it a privilege to care for patients who are battling and living with cancer, never losing sight of the fact that they are allowing me to take a significant role in a crucial moment of their lives. Whether trying to prevent cancer from recurring, treating the disease with the intent of cure, or prolonging the patient’s life, it’s an honor to know they have placed their trust in me and the rest of the team at Memorial Cancer Institute.
At Memorial, patients have access to everything needed to provide them with quality, state-of-the-art care. They can be assured of having an experienced team caring for and supporting them and their families every step of the way.
In addition to patient care, research has also been a critical component of my career both academically and in enabling me to provide my patients with innovative treatments.
