About Me
I am a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Memorial Healthcare System. My expertise includes minimally invasive total knee and partial knee arthroplasty, direct-anterior total hip arthroplasty, complex revision hip and knee arthroplasty and rapid rehabilitation protocols for faster recovery after surgery.
I was born in Koforidua, Ghana, and was inspired to pursue a medical career by my father, a pediatrician, and my mother, a registered nurse. When I was five, my family and I immigrated to the United States, where I grew up in Sicklerville, New Jersey.
After completing medical school, I chose to specialize in orthopedic surgery. During my rigorous, five-year orthopedic surgery residency at Howard University Hospital, I was recognized as having the best operative skills at graduation. I then completed an additional year of advanced training in adult reconstruction at the world-renowned Joint Implant Surgeons (JIS) Orthopedics fellowship in New Albany, Ohio. There, I learned efficient, innovative and evidence-based surgical techniques from some of the best hip and knee surgeons in the world.
As an active athlete, I have experienced orthopedic care firsthand, having been a patient twice due to Achilles and patellar tendon ruptures. These personal experiences have shaped my understanding of the field and allowed me to empathize deeply with my patients, understanding their concerns and fears.
My commitment to advancing the field of orthopedics extends beyond patient care and surgery. I am actively involved in conducting clinical research and writing about various aspects of orthopedics. My publications, including those on hip and knee arthroplasty, reflect my dedication to staying at the forefront of orthopedic knowledge and techniques.
