About Me
Dr. Sameet Kumar is a clinical psychologist at the Memorial Cancer Institute and Moffitt Hematology and Cellular Therapy program. He obtained his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Miami in 2001. He has worked with adults who have cancer as well as their caregivers and families for 20 years specializing in palliative care, survivorship and grief. He is the author of the bestselling, Grieving Mindfully: A Compassionate and Spiritual Approach to Coping with Loss, The Mindful Path Through Worry and Rumination and the workbook Mindfulness for Prolonged Grief.
