About Me
I am an orthopedic surgeon at Memorial Healthcare System. I care for patients with various orthopedic injuries and concerns, including joint, hip, and knee pain and sports/athletic injuries.
A native Floridian, I completed five rigorous years of orthopedic surgery residency training at SUNY Stony Brook, Long Island’s busiest level 1 trauma center. During that time, I helped design a novel trauma protocol for geriatric hip fractures, which helped reduce the hospital's mortality rate in this subset of patients.
I also completed subspecialty training in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital and the Nicholas Institute for Sports Medicine and Athletic Trauma (the nation's first sports medicine fellowship), receiving a distinction in research for a study on ACL surgery.
Competitive athletics was a big part of my upbringing, so I understand how upsetting and derailing an injury can be to any athlete. I take great pride in providing exceptional and comprehensive surgical and nonsurgical care with a personalized approach tailored to each patient's unique goals. I also believe educating my patients about their injuries and encouraging them to participate actively in their treatment decisions helps them return to their pre-injury performance level.
Over the years, I have served as an assistant team physician for the New York Jets, the Stony Brook Seawolves, the Manhattanville Valiants and numerous local high school athletic programs in New York. I also played lacrosse for many years in my spare time and am now an avid snowboarder.
