About Me
As a physiatrist at Memorial Healthcare System, I specialize in helping patients regain function and independence after life-changing injuries and conditions. I work with comprehensive medical teams to deliver personalized care.
My journey into medicine was inspired by my mother, who suffered a delayed meningitis diagnosis that left her permanently deaf and temporarily paralyzed. This led me to pursue a career helping patients achieve functional gains, which has been both humbling and rewarding.
Along with providing quality healthcare, my priority is to ensure that patients and their loved ones feel comfortable, informed and supported throughout their rehabilitation journey. I aim to build strong connections with those I treat, understanding that trust and communication are key to effective care.
In addition to my clinical duties, I am dedicated to advancing heart health. My co-authored research on patient outcomes following left ventricular assist device placement for heart failure was recently accepted for presentation at the American Heart Association’s Annual Scientific Session.
I am also passionate about promoting health literacy. This led to an internship with ABC News in New York City, where I authored articles for ABC News and Good Morning America and edited medical content for on-air shows.
