Memorial Primary Care Opens at Memorial Hospital Miramar Medical Office Building

Memorial Healthcare System has opened its tenth Memorial Primary Care location, expanding high-quality, patient-centered primary healthcare services in Miramar. Developed to maximize the patient experience, the center is located at Memorial Hospital Miramar’s Medical Office Building I, adjacent to a brand new Women’s Imaging Center, Outpatient Lab and Outpatient Surgery Center, and offers convenient access to a comprehensive array of services and specialists in the hospital.

“We are proud to expand our Memorial Primary Care services to meet the needs of our growing communities in and around Miramar,” said Melida Akiti, vice president of Memorial’s Ambulatory Program and Community Services. “Having access to a primary care team is an important first step for community members to set and meet their individual health goals, early detection and positive health outcomes.”

The new center, open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm features the following enhanced services:

• Preventive care
• Wellness exams
• Women’s health
• Annual wellness appointments and vaccinations
• Management of chronic conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol etc.

Perla del Pino-White, DO, a primary care physician, is now seeing patients in-person at the new location and through telehealth visits.

“It’s a joy to collaborate with each patient to create health plans and celebrate with them as they achieve their personal health goals,” said Dr. del Pino-White. "As a primary care physician, I enjoy and promote genuine communication with my patients and look forward to being proactive throughout all aspects of their health journey, including prevention, diagnosis, treatment and beyond."

Preventive screenings, such as annual wellness visits and routine physical exams, play an important role in overall health. Patients interested in lifestyle changes can receive recommendations and support for stress management, diet, nutrition, exercise and sleep among other healthy choices. The goal is to take care of the “whole” patient, healing the body, mind and spirit.

The practice offers patients convenient access to clinicians and information, including:

• online access to the primary care team and personal medical records via Memorial MyChart.
